I was always fascinated by nature and Ecuadorian culture this was what motivated me to travel all over my country and study Tourism Administration and Hospitality. My college life lasted five years during which I tried to contribute in the best way possible to the sustainable development of Ecuadorian resources. I have worked in different projects for example, with people in rural areas helping them with the community development projects, this helped me understand how important our culture is!  After finishing my career I decided that the best place to keep learning and to start my professional life would be a tour operator. After my first visit to the Galápagos I knew that this location was to be my new endeavor and since then I have enjoyed helping world travelers visit and be amazed by these islands, contributing to greener travel and social conciseness about the environment, doing my part for this wonderful world and its future.

I started studying Business Administration in College but I always knew in my heart that this was just not my thing.  I got a job in a travel agency specialized in cruises to the Galapagos and this is when I realized that I wanted to work in the travel industry and even better do this for a living.  I stopped studying Business and began to study Tourism.  I have travelled all over Ecuador and every time I travel I fall more in love with my country and its rich diversity.  After 5 years of college I graduated with a Tourism Administration and Environmental Preservation degree. I have worked for important Tourism companies one being Latin Trails who I am currently a part of and who welcomed me in with open arms.  I am blessed to be working in this fascinating industry, being an important instrument for so many people all over the world who get to visit this small piece of paradise.

I belong to a family who loves this country and traveling, therefore, since I was a child I have explored all of Ecuador and  even though I had another profession in mind, after experiencing the great places Ecuador has to offer,  I decided to study tourism administration.  In Quito there was only one university offering this career at the time and the tourism industry was not yet recognized.  Now I know that I made the right decision as for many years I have enjoyed showing others the wonderful, unpredictable and fascinating worlds of Ecuador; that is, its vast natural beauties, cultures and kind people.  

When I visited the Galapagos Islands for the first time I fell in love with its landscapes and the incredible wildlife. I understood then why they are called the Enchanted Islands and why I will always be drawn to return there. Hence, working with Galapagos Islands operators such as Latin Trails has given me the opportunity to visit several times, as well as some other fascinating places also found in this part of the world.

I was born in South Korea and then adopted to Norway. I have travelled through almost all of Europe, parts of Asia, USA and Mexico. Travelling has always been a great part of my life so I started my studies within the Hotel industry and Tourism as soon as I started High School in Norway, then in England and USA.
Mostly I have been working within the Hotel industry most of my life (10 years) and the highlight becoming the Night Audit Manager for the JW Marriott in Quito, Ecuador, but always looking for new challenges.
I first came to Ecuador as a Foreign Exchange Student working with street children. It´s very easy to fall in love with this beautiful country (and women) and I was of course no exception so I have lived and worked in Ecuador for the last 13 years.
