Uyuni salt lake looks like an ocean of salt, impressive in its vastness and smooth white surface. It contains the largest bed of lithium of the world. Nearby are large sculptures of eroded rocks.

Departure by bus from the city of La Paz to Oruro, continue to the town of Uyuni (by express train).Visit the Red Lagoon, visit the village of Alota and the Valley of Toads with its rock formations. A visit to the Sol de Mañana (Morning Sun) and Apacheta, a volcanic zone with rich deposits of minerals and salts, boiling mud and small geysers. Continue to the Green Lagoon for a view of the Llicancahur Volcano and back to the Red Lagoon. Excursion to the surroundings of the Red Lagoon, famous for its James flamingos and if you are lucky you can observe the change of color of the Lagoon. Lodging at the salt hotel. Visit "Isla Pescado", here we can see gigantic cacti and a short walk up the hill for a superb view. Transfer to Uyuni. Departure by train to Oruro. At arrival departure by regular bus to La Paz.
