Chan Chan<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Chan Chan is an archaeological site located in la Libertad, Peru, 5 km west of Trujillo. It was built by the Chimu culture between the years 850 AD and 1470 AD. Translated from quingnam as \u201cSun Sun\u201d, it is the largest city of the pre-columbian era in South America, formed by colonial homes. The city has ten walled ciudadelas and also an interesting museum.<\/p>\n

Marcahuamachuco<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Visit one of the less known and most beautiful places in Peru: Marcahuamachuco. Incas used to create their forts in zones like that, to protect from enemies and prepare their strategies to fight. Ollantaytambo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The ruins of Ollantaytambo are the legacy of an ancient temple and also a fort that, , according to historians, were supposed to have been built 1440 AD by the inca emperor Pachakutik. Some historians think that this city was built over the ruins of a more ancient city, of unknown origins.<\/p>\n

Kuelap<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Travel through History and follow in the footsteps of the fierce Chachapoya warriors (1000-1400 AD) along 25-meter-high ramparts in the Kuelap fortress. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, that combine nature and Art. One of the beauties of the place is the\u00a0Gocta Waterfall<\/a>, that can be seen from hotels and lookouts of the zone.<\/p>\n

Choquequirao<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It is well known as Machu Picchu\u2019s sister city, this\u00a0Inca site is the most similar to the famous ruins.\u00a0It is not promoted due to the difficult access to the area, but for the same reason, the tour is more\u00a0<\/strong>exciting<\/strong>\u00a0and authentic<\/strong>.\u00a0The place is less crowded than Machu Picchu.
