Afterward, a private transfer takes you to the city’s main dock where you’ll board the Zafiro. Day 1 (Saturday) : Iquitos, Amazon River
Day 2 (Sunday) : Amazon River, Kukama Reserve (yanayacu Of Yucapana), Source Of The Amazon, Marañon River, Casual, Nauta Creek
Begin with a skiff expedition at sunrise to spot birds and early wildlife. Return for a rich breakfast buffet before heading to the awe-inspiring confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers—the birthplace of the Amazon River. Watch for pink and gray river dolphins in this biodiverse area. After lunch and a short rest, attend an educational talk on the river’s hydrography. In the afternoon, visit Puerto Prado to see the giant Victoria Amazonica lilies, then embark on a nighttime safari to encounter caimans, frogs, and other nocturnal species before returning for dinner and live music.
Day 3 (Monday) : Yanayacu De Pucate, Japanese Lagoon, Yanayaquillo, San Regis, Amazonian Natural Park
Set off on a scenic skiff ride to lakes and lagoons, including the tranquil Japanese Lagoon. This protected zone is ideal for dolphin sightings and a peaceful nature picnic. Afterward, visit Yanaquillo gorge before returning to the ship for kayaking and a dip in the blackwater. After lunch, your guides will present a talk on Amazonian philosophy, followed by a treetop canopy walk across hanging bridges. The evening continues with a cocktail-making demonstration and ends with live music and the captain’s gala dinner.
Day 4 (Tuesday) : Marañon River, San Regis, Shiriyacu Lake
After breakfast, visit the San Regis community, where you’ll meet a local shaman to learn about traditional spiritual beliefs. Take part in a ceremonial tree planting and browse a market of handmade crafts created by women of the village. After lunch and a short break, enjoy a storytelling session about Amazonian myths and legends. Later, head out to Shiriyacu stream for a fun and interactive piranha fishing experience. Return in time to watch the sunset, followed by dinner and live entertainment on board.
Day 5 (Wednesday) : Marañon River , Nauta, Reserve Of Comunal Florida, Pahuachiro
Begin the day with a visit to Nauta, the second largest city in the region. Ride through town in a motocar and visit the bustling local market. After breakfast aboard the Zafiro, set out on a guided walk through the Comunal Florida Reserve, home to frogs, birds, and notable tree species like mahogany. After lunch, enjoy free time and prepare for an afternoon skiff outing in the Pahuachiro area to spot wildlife in its natural habitat. The day winds down with a relaxed evening and dinner on board.
Day 6 (Thursday) : Ucayali River, Yanallpa Del Ucayali, Tapiche River, Dorado River
Begin the day with a skiff excursion to the Yanallpa region, rich in biodiversity and birdlife. Return for breakfast, then venture out again to explore the Tapiche River in search of wildlife. Back on board, enjoy a cooking demonstration by the ship’s executive chef before lunch. In the afternoon, attend a presentation on the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Later, head to the Dorado River to fish with traditional techniques and enjoy a night safari in search of tarantulas, caimans, and nocturnal birds. Conclude with dinner onboard the Zafiro.
Day 7 (Friday) : Ucayali River, Yarapa Of Ucayali (black Waters), Amazon River, Tahuayo River
After breakfast, explore the blackwater Yarapa River, famous for pink and gray river dolphins. Later, witness once again the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañón Rivers, marking the origin of the Amazon River. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful skiff ride along the Amazon to observe daily life in riverside communities. Watch a spectacular sunset before returning to the ship for live music, a presentation from the crew, and a farewell dinner to celebrate your journey.
Day 8 (Saturday) : Disembark In Iquitos City
Disembark after breakfast and begin your transfer to the Iquitos airport. On the way, visit the Manatee Rescue Center, a conservation project led by the Amazon Forever Organization. Learn how rescued manatees and other wildlife are cared for and rehabilitated. Gain deeper insight into efforts to return these animals to their natural environments. After this meaningful stop, continue on to the airport for your departing flight.
