Voyage Through the Galapagos: Aboard the Hermes Mega Catamaran
Recently, I had the opportunity to explore the Galapagos Islands onboard the Hermes Galapagos Mega Catamaran.
My fellow travelers were travel agents from the United States, United Kingdom, Poland, and Singapore. We explored the unparalleled natural beauty of the Galapagos Islands. This time aboard a brand new, ultra luxurious vessel now sailing these iconic waters.
For several of the agents, it was their very first visit to the Galapagos, and experiencing it on the Hermes made it unforgettable. Designed with exclusivity in mind, the Hermes accommodates only 20 guests in 12 spacious suites, including two single cabins. With a team of 17 crew members including two personal butlers, two expert naturalist guides, a cruise director, and twelve additional support staff, the guest experience is both luxurious and professional.
What truly distinguishes the Hermes are its high end amenities that elevate the journey to a premium level of comfort. Each suite is equipped with a private balcony and jacuzzi, while the ship also features a spa, hammam, among other things. A significant feature for many guests was the onboard high speed internet, allowing them to work or stay in touch with loved ones even in this remote paradise.
While the Galapagos always proves a beautiful adventure because of its unique ecosystems and wildlife, the Hermes presents the experience with unmatched luxury. Whether it’s your first time exploring the islands or once again visiting, sailing on the Hermes promises a cherished memory.
The voyage I was part of took us through the western part of the Galapagos. We visited unforgettable stops such as Tagus Cove, Puerto Vicente Roca, Espinoza Point, and Urbina Bay on Isabela Island. Along the way, we encountered some of the archipelago’s most iconic species, including marine iguanas, Galapagos penguins, and the iconic blue footed boobies of North Seymour.
Cruising from one destination to the next aboard the Hermes deepened our understanding and appreciation of the Galapagos Islands astonishing and abundant biodiversity.
I’m convinced that the Hermes is redefining how travelers discover these islands. By blending luxury and exploration into one extraordinary adventure, visitors will have the experience of a lifetime.
